NEW DELHI, March 15 Asia Pulse - In addition to recycling, Indian industry must look at alternative aspects of plastic waste management, such as energy and recovery of chemicals and oils, the federal environment and forests minister, T R Baalu, today said.
"We need to keep an open mind on alternative models of plastic waste management such as energy recovery," Baalu said inaugurating a two-day international conference on "Plastic Waste Management and Environment".
He said this was being done in a number of countries, but did not receive sufficient attention in India.
