SAN FRANCISCO-Williams-Sonoma continues to tweak its plan for Elm Street, the company's much-awaited value-priced home furnishings concept.

The launch date, originally slated for fall 2001, was pushed forward to spring 2002 late last year. More planning time was needed, the company said at the time, in order to accommodate an increase in the square footage of the prototype and a broader assortment of merchandise.

But now the plan has changed again. Elm Street will debut as a catalog in spring 2002, with test stores to follow in spring 2003.
