Mar. 16--Wright State University and its fellow public universities across Ohio act as strong economic engines for their regions and for the state, a study shows.
The study by the Inter-University Council of Ohio concludes that Ohio's public universities pump about four times as much money into the state economy--an estimated $6 billion--than the $1.5 billion they receive in state support. The schools support the employment of 113,000 Ohioans, the IUC report said.
