QUESTRAN PURCHASERS SUE ROHM & HAAS IN PHILADELPHIA
PHILADELPHIA, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Two purchasers of an anti- cholesterol drug provided by the Philadelphia-based drug company, Rohm & Haas Co. (NYSE: ROH), commenced class actions against it in federal court here.
The lawsuits were brought on behalf of purchasers of the drug Questran, frequently prescribed for heart patients, and other Rohm & Haas products containing cholestyramine resin. The plaintiffs allege that these drugs were sold as being unadulterated pharmaceutical products when, in fact, they were contaminated with the pesticide Dicofol and other chemicals.
