2001 MAR 16 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net -- by Sonia Nichols, staff medical writer -- Medical researchers in Japan have been able to use tiny dye-embedded particles called microspheres to track blood flow within the tumors of rats.
Scientists have already used this technique to follow blood flow within major organs. This new application could some day prove useful for tracking the effects of chemotherapy and other treatments on tumor growth or shrinkage in human beings.
