KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 Asia Pulse - Many foreign retailers are looking for opportunities to enter the Klang Valley retail market, and this certainly is good news for the local retail industry, property consultancy DTZ Debenham Tie Lung said.
Their impending entry was due to the long-term growth prospects and large market size, it said in the "Property Times", its quarterly review of the local property market.
It said retail sales showed 10.7 per cent growth in the fourth quarter of 2001 compared with 9.9 per cent in the third quarter.
Growth was contributed to by the long year-end festive season and the third nationwide "Mega Sales Carnival" ...
