AMERICAN BUSINESS PRODUCTS RECORD FIRST QUARTER 1989
ATLANTA, April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- American Business Products Inc. (NSYE: ABP) today reported record sales and earnings were achieved for the first quarter of 1989.
Sales increased 11.5 percent over the first quarter last year, Thomas R. Carmody, president, announced.
For the three months ended March 31, net sales exceeded $98 million compared with $88 million for the first quarter last year. Net earnings were $3.3 million compared with $3.1 million for the first quarter 1988.
Earnings per share increased to 58 cents per share vs. 54 cents for the first quarter last year.
