FOR WATER REPLACEMENT SUPPLY PROJECT

FRESNO, Calif., April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Westlands Water District and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation have filed a draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Environmental Impact Study (EIS) for the Westlands Water District Supply Replacement Project. The project seeks to identify short-term sources of water to ease a five-to-seven-year water shortage on 200,000 acres of prime farmland in the western San Joaquin Valley.
