NEW POST OFFICE A BOOST FOR TOWN, CONGRESSMAN SAYS; REP. RICHARD BURR HELPS WITH THE DEDICATION.(TRIAD/STATE)

What a difference one building can make.

Madison's new post office will help the small town grow and achieve its dreams. At least, that's the vision U.S. Rep. Richard Burr (R-Forsyth) sees.

"The building gives us, locally, the ability to give us what we need to grow into the future," Burr said during a dedication of the new post office Monday.

Burr is a frequent visitor to Rockingham County. He comes about six times a year to see teachers, give flags to kids, hand medals to veterans. This time, he talked about the U.S. Constitution and chatted with local politicians.

"He likes the face-to-face visits with people," said Carrie Foster, his press secretary.
