When the final horn sounded and Penn State's determined band of basketball players erupted in wild celebration following Sunday's stunning 82-74 upset of North Carolina, Jack Sherry lifted himself off the sofa in his home near Malvern, Pa., hugged Helen, his wife of 46 years, and cried.
