Here is how to boil the perfect pot of potatoes:
Boiled Potatoes - Peel potatoes and cut into pieces of equal size. Add water just to cover and bring to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon salt per quart of water.
Cover and cook until tender, 20-30 minutes. Potatoes are done with they are fork tender, but still hold their shape. Drain cooking liquid, then return pan to the stove and shake over the burner until dry and the steam abates.
Shaking keeps the potatoes from sticking to the pan. Immediately put potatoes into a heated bowl, drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before ...
