En route to a breakfast meeting at 7:40AM during the third week of the current January, this researcher saw a young mom carrying a toddler in her left arm and a 30 gallon trash bag filled with to-be-cleaned clothing in her right arm. Intrigued with her balancing act, I waited to see her emerge from the cleaners with what turned out to be a first armload of clean clothing on hangers draped over the toddler-free arm. She used a remote with a free finger to open the rear door of the SUV and laid in the first load of cleaned and pressed clothing, then returned to the cleaners, toddler still in her left arm, for a second load of filled hangers.
