RANGERS striker Michael Mols last night revealed that he contemplated quitting football three months ago.

The Dutchman admitted he became disillusioned with the game after a long physical and mental battle back from a cruciate ligament injury.

Mols became frustrated when he could not reach the high standards he set himself before he collided with Bayern keeper Oliver Khan in Munich 16 months ago.
