A group of teen-agers from New Richmond placed 12th during the Ohio Mock Trial Competition in Columbus.
Over 300 teams competed in regional competitions before 42 of them, including New Richmond, advanced a week ago to the final round of the largest academic contest in the state.
New Richmond narrowly missed qualifying for the final elimination round of eight schools, says their coach, attorney John Woliver. ''They did great. We were very pleased.''
His team on Feb. 16 won the regional competition in Batavia for the second consecutive year, besting teams from Clermont, Brown, Adams and Highland counties. During the ...
