A crowd of more than 100 railed against the Badger Herald student newspaper for printing an advertisement and a cartoon they found racially offensive.
The profanity-laced protest got personal at times, as a protester shouted at the Badger Herald reporter covering the event, driving her away in tears.
The protest, sponsored by the Multicultural Student Coalition, also focused on the newspaper's decision not to publish the coalition's advertisement calling it a "perpetrator of racist propaganda."
