WASHINGTON -- The World Bank today approved an investment credit of US$34 million equivalent to reconstruct and upgrade roads in Mongolia's central and western regions to provide rural communities with better access to health, education and social services; to facilitate domestic marketing and distribution; to mitigate further damage to fragile pasture lands from erosion by vehicles; and to reduce the number of fatalities resulting from road accidents.
