RAISES 600-POUND CENTENNIAL ROSE DEC. 31, 8 A.M.
The Norton Simon Museum is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Tournament of Roses Parade by constructing and displaying the Tournament's special Centennial Rose. On Saturday, Dec. 31, beginning at 8 a.m., a 12-foot by 12-foot flower-covered steel structure in the shape of the parade's Centennial Rose will be hoisted onto the Norton Simon Museum building in honor of the parade.
