Plans for USA Tennis Plan for Growth 2 in Development
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., March 26 /PRNewswire/ --
United States Tennis Association (USTA) Executive Director Rick Ferman today announced that the USA Tennis Plan for Growth, a five-year, $50 million initiative to increase tennis participation in the United States, introduced 308,320 new players to tennis in 2000, far surpassing the goal of 250,000. In just three years, the initiative, spearheaded by the USTA, has attracted more than 775,000 Americans to tennis and will reach its five-year goal of 800,000 in just four years.
