Kent Pullen, King County Council member, is introducing by subtle means, an ordinance to first study and later treat mental illness in the public setting through A. Hoffer's nutritional approach. It really would be the first of its kind in the US. This is a fairly comprehensive look at what he's proposing, which has since passed.
