MORTGAGES CHEAPER:U.S. home mortgage rates continued declining this week, a sign that demand for housing could rebound in coming months if borrowing costs drop further, Freddie Mac said.
The rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage decreased to 7.58 percent, on average, from 7.61 percent last week, according to the mortgage underwriter, formally known as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp.
Freddie Mac also said today the average adjustable mortgage rate stood at 5.66 percent, unchanged from a week earlier. Fifteen-year mortgage rates averaged 7.13 ...
