Mar. 26--Scanning the future and deciding that thriving required them to be bigger, Anchorage ad agencies Walsh & Sheppard and Ken Flynn Alaska merged this year.
The merger cast each of the three principals outside of their comfort zones as they dealt with the pitfalls, some anticipated and some not, of combining, from negotiating the deal to disrupting employees' lives to deciding who will be boss.
But they said that some smart planning and decisions are making the merger work for their new firm: Walsh Sheppard Flynn.
