Mar. 27--No one has died of mad cow disease in Colorado or even the United States and no one in the country should be worried about catching it, according to health and cattle specialists.
A mistaken headline on the front of Saturday's Pueblo Chieftain wrongly attributed the deaths of two Denver people to the disease. In reality, the two patients at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital died of Creutzfelt-Jacob Disease, a brain malady similar to mad cow disease in its effects.
