Mar. 28--Brent W. Blauch needs a little more time to count the more than 100,000 hybrid striped bass that died in his fish hatchery.
The hybrids, a cross between striped bass and white bass, died when the electrical power to Susquehanna Aquacultures Inc.'s two main water pumps shut down Saturday night, said Blauch, president of Susquehanna Aquacultures Inc.
The hatchery uses warm water pumped from PPL's Brunner Island power plant and supplemental water pumped from the Susquehanna River.
