NOVATO, Calif.-Vacu Vin is trying to take the fear of wine away from American consumers.
The Dutch company, which makes wine accessories, wants to boost sales by helping consumers learn more about the wine they drink. To that end, Vacu Vin has developed a wine booklet that it will add to its wine accessory gift packs in the coming year, according to Simon Kirby, president of Vacu Vin USA.
"Lots of people appreciate wine but don't understand the basics. As people understand more about wine, they enjoy it more," said Kirby.
