Fine wines and food have long been famous in the Provence region of France, but another unique earthy product is also being produced there -- wool.

But not just any wool. This wool is said to be hypoallergenic, sheared from sheep that graze in an area free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Called Biowool, it is produced by Biotex, of Montfort, a company that specializes in environmentally friendly fibers, dyes and processes, and considers itself a "green" company.
