Mar. 28--The plane was cruising at about 28,000 feet somewhere between Greensboro, N.C., and Columbus. Aflac President Dan Amos was talking about the life of a chief executive officer.
The expectations, demands, pressures. And, ultimately, the rewards.
During the conversation, the private jet began losing altitude rapidly.
After a few seconds, Amos asked the pilots, "Is everything OK up there?"
The lack of response and a strange noise coming from one of the engines led Amos to ask another question: Was there going to be an emergency landing? ...
