The growing popularity of Farmers National Bank's Internet banking service has exceeded management's expectations, Farmers National Banc Corp. President and Chief Executive Officer Frank L. Paden told shareholders yesterday.
Online transactions reached 4,500 per month in February 2001, continuing a series of monthly increases since the introduction of the service in April 2000, Paden said. Some 1,200 individuals have registered for the online service, he said.
