VOTES OVERWHELMINGLY TO AFFILIATE WITH THE AFL-CIO
NEW YORK, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The Writers Guild of America, East -- which represents 3,200 writers of prime time and daytime television shows and feature motion pictures, as well as CBS and ABC news writers and other news personnel -- will affiliate with the AFL-CIO as the result of an overwhelming vote last night by the WGAE membership in support of joining the national labor federation.
