Advertising: Firm Retains Lease at Downtown Site

After a much-ballyhooed entrance into San Diego last summer, buying what had years ago been a top agency in town, the Corsi Group has pulled out of the market.

Jim Magill, president and chief marketing officer for San Francisco-based Corsi, confirmed the office, located off Laurel Street in Downtown, was essentially shut down March 9.

A graphic design agency at first, Chapman, McQuiston, Suzuki & Wright headed into full-fledged advertising work in the mid-'60s, recalled David Nuffer, a longtime public relations executive in San Diego.
