John F. Woodhouse, retired Senior Chairman of Sysco Corp., the country's largest foodservice marketing and distribution company, was elected to The Food Institute Board at the association's most recent meeting.
Mr. Woodhouse, who earned his MBA at Harvard Business School in 1955, and his BA from Wesleyan University, joined Sysco Corp. at its formation in 1969 as Chief Financial Officer and a founding director. He was elected Executive Vice President in 1971, president and COO in 1972, CEO in 1983 and Chairman in 1985. In January 1995, Mr. Woodhouse became Chairman of the Board and chairman of the executive committee and in January 1999 was named Senior Chairman. ...
