Mar. 31--This is not your mother's blue-light special.
Kmart is reviving the icon of '60s shopaholics, but it's not a little blue patrolman's light wheeled out on a cart.
It's a huge, blue canopy surrounding two rotating lights and dual speakers blaring music and Kmart executives hope it gets your attention, shoppers.
Archie Beavers, for one, is ready to join the stampede.
"We got here and saw the signs and I told my wife, 'Look, they got the blue lights back!'f" he said Friday at the West Columbia Kmart on S.C. 302.
