CORRECTION: The captions for two candidates in a Madison City Council election story in the Communities section Thursday were reversed. Dick Lund's name was located under Judy Compton's photo and vice versa. We regret the error. (published March 30, 2001).

Dick Lund entered the race for Madison City Council because it looked for a while like District 16 incumbent Judy Compton wasn't going to seek re-election.
