Has D.C. United found a player to fill its most troublesome position?
Although United has been strong in most areas over its five-year history, the one glaring weakness has been the right back position. United has experimented with players like David Vaudreuil, Tony Sanneh, Geoff Aunger, Diego Sonora and even John Harkes, but none was a resounding success.
Last season coach Thomas Rongen rotated several players, including Carey Talley, Geoff Aunger, Ray Goodlett and Judah and Micah Cooks. Talley did well on the right side but he is a better central defender.
