Legendary entertainers and humanitarians Ray Charles, Harry Belafonte and Dick Gregory were among the honorees at Morehouse College's annual "A Candle in the Dark" awards ceremony held during the college's recent Founders Week celebration in Atlanta.
The annual black-tie awards gala was co-chaired by Delta Airlines Chairman and CEO Leo Mullin and his wife, Leah Mullin.
Ray Charles surprised the crowd at Atlanta's Hyatt Regency Hotel by presenting Morehouse College with a check for $1 million.
