COMMISSIONER IRVIN ISSUES CRISIS EXEMPTION FOR INSECTICIDE

ATLANTA, May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Commissioner of Agriculture Tommy Irvin today issued a crisis exemption for use of the insecticide permethrin to control cowpea curculio in southern peas.

Cowpea curculio is the single most destructive pest of southern peas, one of Georgia's major vegetable crops.
