Even in the midst of an industrywide slump for new orders, Kirkland-based Kenworth Truck Co. is showing off a heavy-duty truck packed with technology accessories it plans to offer as options within a year.
Those accessories include cameras that give drivers a view of blind spots along the side of the truck and trailer, a DVD-based navigation system that reads directions to drivers, and an electrical connection that allows drivers to operate electronics and appliances on the vehicle at roadside stops without leaving the engine idling.
