YOUNG APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT, VOLKSWAGEN UNITED STATES

TROY, Mich., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced the appointment of William J. Young as vice president in charge of Volkswagen United States, Inc.

The announcement was jointly made by Noel Phillips, president and CEO of Volkswagen of America, Inc. and Hans-Jorg Hungerland, who succeeds Phillips as president and CEO on March 1 of this year. Young returns to Volkswagen after 5-1/2 years of successfully operating his own California-based enterprise which provided consultantcy to the automobile industry.
