The trip started out being one thing and ended up being another. Nina and I had a rare open weekend and we decided to put our dog Spags on her pillow in the front seat of our car and drive to Lexington, Va.
The destination was the George C. Marshall Museum on the campus of Virginia Military Institute. As it turned out, Lexington itself is a remarkable experience. On Friday I'll organize my notes and try to give you a snapshot of this lovely city.
