Jim Bowden got a long-distance earful from Indianapolis on Tuesday after raiding the Reds' top farm club to bolster a big-league roster depleted by injuries.
The Cincinnati general manager summoned five players from Indianapolis, which opens its first-round playoff series with Buffalo tonight. Bowden also brought back pitchers Kevin Jarvis and Roger Salkeld, who spent two days with rookie-league Billings, Mont.
Outfielder Chad Mottola and pitchers Derek Lilliquist and Scott Sullivan were called up from Indianapolis, while catcher Brook Fordyce and outfielder Keith Mitchell had their contracts purchased ...
