Financial and emotional strain may have pushed one of Cincinnati's most prominent retailers into the lobby of a Montgomery bank Tuesday, where police say he used a gun to rob tellers.
Montgomery police said 60-year-old Barry Miller, former owner of Cincinnati's posh Gidding-Jenny store, wore a ski mask as he pointed the gun at tellers and demanded money.
But as the former Elder-Beerman and Federated Department Stores executive ran from the Amerifirst Bank, at 9468 Montgomery Road, with a bag full of money, police were waiting. He was arrested without resistance at about 9:30 a.m. in the bank's parking ...
