If misery loves company, then the National League Central is a virtual orgy.
The Chicago Cubs suffered through a seven-game losing streak, and had to win four out of five games to get to .500. And their reward? A share of the division lead with the Houston Astros, who also went into the weekend with a 14-14 record.
The Pittsburgh Pirates went 9-13 after winning four of their first five games, but still were only a half-game out of first place.
