Fly fishing in America has soared to new heights in the 1990s.
That success has been mirrored by the growth of two area fly-fishing clubs: the Buckeye United Fly Fishers and Northern Kentucky Fly Fishers.
''It's a great way to fish because there's a lot of collateral knowledge that goes along with it to be successful,'' said Dave Rabe, president of the Buckeye United Fly Fishers. ''You have to know the background of the fish and its food as well as the environment it lives in.''
