MELBOURNE, Australia -- Curators at the Museum of Victoria have stumbled upon two preserved birds they say were collected last century by Charles Darwin while he was formulating his theory of evolution.
The finch and bush bird were discovered in museum vaults, where they had been stored and forgotten for generations.
Both carry identification tags purportedly handwritten by the famous British naturalist, the Age newspaper reported today.
