Water damage from the automatic sprinkler system triggered by an electrical fire Tuesday did $2 million in damage at the Chemed Center downtown.
And some businesses located in the 31-story building at 255 E. Fifth Street remain closed while repairs are made.
Assistant Cincinnati Fire Chief of Operations Robert Wright estimated damage at $2 million.
He said the bulk of the damage was primarily caused by water on floors eight to 12, the basement and second floor.
