THE boss of Virgin Trains faced an intense grilling in Birmingham today from furious rail watchdogs and commuters after announcing a ticket price increase of nearly ten per cent.
The company's chief executive, Chris Green, was giving an explanation to a meeting of the Government-backed Rail Passengers Committee at the city's Britannia Hotel just hours after revealing the inflation-busting price rise.
