PLANT CITY, Fla. -- Even with his peculiar duck walk, flat-top haircut and Tool Time protective goggles, the first thing that you notice about Chris Sabo in his second go-round with the Reds is his outrageous shoes.
Since leaving Cincinnati following the 1993 season, Sabo has fallen in love with a rare model of cleats made from the hide of a kangaroo. The Pony shoes, which he claims are by far the most comfortable he's ever worn, are only made in black, so Sabo was forced to alter them to conform to the Reds' dress code.
