That mad movie queen Norma Desmond from ''Sunset Boulevard'' arrives at the Aronoff Center for the Arts on Tuesday and she's bringing most of her spectacular mansion with her.
The mansion for the New York stage production weighs a phenomenal 20,000 pounds, according to Raymond Huessy, U.S. associate to British production designer John Napier. ''There is no way we would be able to take that on tour,'' he said.
The set coming here, though weighty, is about 25 percent smaller than the originals Napier created for the London, Los Angeles and Broadway productions, he said. Huessy worked in New York with Napier ...
