Doctor, nurse, teacher, bee keeper - if you don't pay child support, the state now can revoke your license.
A new state law will help county officials in their war to collect child support from deadbeat parents by suspending the professional licenses of violators.
The law, which goes into effect Nov. 15, was praised Thursday by Arnold Tompkins, director of the Ohio Department of Human Services, as ''a strong, clear message'' in the fight to get parents to financially support their children. ''We will no longer stand by as professionals earning a decent living refuse to meet child support obligations,'' said Tompkins.
