Local development officials have found $200,000 in federal funding to start their restructuring of the Port Authority of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, they said Wednesday.
The funds will come over the next two years from Region 5 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, said Cindy Schrader, director of business retention at the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber, Hamilton County, the city of Cincinnati and other groups want to restructure the long-dormant port authority to redevelop the dozens of unused and environmentally contaminated industrial sites around the region. Those sites, ...
