Liuzhou, China - ancient gateway to Cathay, end of the silk road that Marco Polo traveled to see the Great Khan - became our first sister city in 1988. It was an auspicious choice.

Now Cincinnati has seven sisters around the world connected through exchanges of culture, business and friendships. And, thanks almost entirely to volunteer efforts, the program is thriving.
